Our Story
Our founder, Lindsay Knowlton, and a friend were standing in line in a Starbucks back in 2011. Lindsay was chatting about how she wanted to see more women have access to golf, to learn, to play, to be able to join in company tournaments, travel, network, and most importantly feel like they belonged to a friendly community. The person standing behind them overheard their conversation and expressed interest in helping Lindsay move forward with her idea. The stars aligned, as this person is a Vice President at a major bank, who was trying to solve the issue of women in leadership positions at the bank not being able to compete in the various tournaments due to feeling inadequate, not having the tools or confidence...
This led to Iron Lady's first corporate event, and since then Iron Lady Golf has never looked back.
